It’s no secret as a long term Canon user I’ve been pretty happy with my Sony A6300. I bought the camera for a small walk around unit but it’s become much more. I quickly replaced the standard kit lens with a 16mm f/2.8 which proves you get what your pay for most of the time. Next upgrades were the native Sony 24 1.8 Zeiss (which is amazing) and then the 50mm f/1.8 OSS which has surprised me with it’s sharpness especially above f/4. But I’m also a film photographer and i know how sharp the Takumar series lenses are. So for $20 I bought a adapter to mount the old manual focus glass to my Sony. The results are surprising. Below are 3 photos, it’s pretty remarkable what a $40 lens can do against a $1000 Zeiss.
